Chris Ryan's book wouldn't have b...I agree. Chris Ryan's book wouldn't have been a natural choice for me either, but I enjoyed it. As for The Hobbit, as I said in my post - it made it easier to read when I imagined Thorin as the hero, rather than the hairy-footed Bilbo. I really enjoyed it once I finally read it and I plan to reread it before I see the movie.<br />As for RA being dangerous... well, I suppose he IS!
