An Armitage Fable

The North Wind and the Sun

A dispute arose between the North Wind and the Sun. Each claimed to be more powerful than the other. They agreed to a contest—the winner would be whoever could make a Traveller take off his cloak.

Sun or wind - I'll take my coat off
when I'm good and ready!

(Which Traveller?  Well, guess who?!)

The Sun retired behind a cloud and the North Wind tried his power first.

He blew with all his might, but the Traveller responded by wrapping his cloak even more tightly.
Feels like Winter is coming to the
Northern hemisphere.

When it was the Sun’s turn, she beamed gently upon the Traveller. The Traveller, warmed by the Sun’s rays, unclasped his cloak and walked on with it hanging loosely about his shoulders.

Then the Sun shone even more brightly, and the Traveller happily took off his cloak.
Ah! Luckily, it's Spring in New Zealand!

An Armitage Fable? I hope this is the first of many!

5 stars review from me.
And what about the cover? Another work of art.
Is it yours?

LOL! Thanks for the comments ladies! This post was just a last minute inspiration that I whipped up after supper and staying up way too late!
@LadyCassia & Fabo/Musa - I can't take credit for the drawings, they were from a couple of free clipart sites - but I coloured them.
@jazzbaby - Very glad you like it. *blushes*
@JeanieGisborne - I can't promise more like this, as those photos just reminded me so much of that fable. But who knows? I go where the wind blows me! (Hopefully to a sunny place.) :)

So sweet and clever:-)

When I saw the last picture, I thought that it is not only the sun who shines :-)

A wonderful allegory for Armitage in Aotearoa!
And that is my favourite of the RA photo shoots.

A picture story! I remember those from the children's magazines when I was young. Very appropriate because RA makes me feel like a girl again. :D

@Fanny/iz4blue - I believe you are right about the song! I don't know it though...
@fitzg - Hah! I had to look up Aotearoa- Thanks for the vocabulary lesson. :) I swear my IQ has jumped quite a few points since the onset of my Armitagemania.
@CDoart - I am glad he has a real life happy ending even if he has not been so lucky in his screen life!

@bccmee- We must have posted at the same time! RA does keep one young at heart! Watching him is like doing cardio, 'cause he keeps our blood pumping! ;)
