Give Thanks for Gizzy!

It's Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and I was wondering if I even would bother with a post this year.  I figured I had pretty much covered everything I wanted to say about this holiday with last year's post.  Then, a miracle appeared in my email!  My graphically-talented friend (who wishes to remain nameless) sent me this lovely concoction to celebrate the special day.

It's things like this, that make me very thankful for friends from near and far.

I am also thankful for our shared interests and mutual admiration of the man who brought Guy of Gisborne to life!

And speaking of Sir Guy of Gisborne, here is another treat I discovered in my email today!  Since I subscribe to quite a few accounts on Youtube of fan vidders I admire, I received notice that PIRRA27 had uploaded a new video.  It is a very clever compilation of interviews of Richard Armitage where he discusses his portrayal of the Gisborne character.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian readers, and to any American readers, let this just whet your appetite for your own holiday next month.  Any other Harvest festivals happening out there in the big wide world? Tell me about your traditions...

Oh yes! Let's be grateful for Richard and especially Guy ;-) Looooove the thanksgiving comic - poor Guy;-) what a interesting vid fromPIRRA27. Adore that she has used one of my favorite interview moments. The one where RA cracks him self up over his James Hewitt joke. Funny AND sweet.*SIGH* Happy thanksgiving to you.

Split my seams laughing over the cartoon, phylly! (Not a good thing day after family Thanksgiving dinner). And PRRA27 - that crack about Hewitt the Rat!
Hope you had an equally warm holiday weekend - 27 here. T-shirts at dinner...(no cravats in evidence).

@fitzg-- Glad you liked my offerings. :) It is very mild here too. I haven't even needed my fall jacket much yet. I hope the snow holds off for another month!

We don't have Thanksgiving Day here in South America, so every day it's time to be grateful for all blessins received, especially a Mr. Armitage.:)
Kudos to your friend for the funny graphic, and many thanks for sharing it, including that interesting video!

@Dezmond -- Thanks so much. I did!
@Tony Storm - I see that your country celebrates quite a few Harvest festivals all year round. Your warm climate makes nature's bounty so abundant. Up here in the North our pioneers and native peoples had to take great care to harvest and preserve our food very carefully to last through the long barren winter season. This was traditionally our last chance to feast on fresh fruits and vegetables until springtime.

Hi Phylly, in Italy we do not celebrate Harvest.

I have my personal daily celebration of GoG reading blogs, fanfictions and selecting screencaps (thanks to RAnet.com!!).
Could we have more strips of Guy, please? It is pure fun!

@LadyCassia -- I am sure you have some other Food Festivals though, and lots of Feast days for Saints, right? A wine harvest festival perhaps?
Yes, I agree that every day is a celebration when enjoying all the RA goodness out there in cyberland!
I will try to feature Guy more often. In fact I have something coming very soon!
